Sa'mya is a Pop Soul singer/songwriter born in Miami raised partly in Manhattan. She began her literary gift at the age of 7 writing poetry. At an early age, she embraced her natural ability to listen to music and play it by ear and adapted her poems into songs. Possessing a natural zeal and tenacity that most people her age
couldn't comprehend; it was evident at a very young age that her creative abilities would achieve greatness. Though her love for music and lyrics had always been evident, it wasn't until mid 2009 that she decided to go full force with her musical career. She created her style to exude a 60's, 70's & 90's eras influence with live band sounds mixing in Pop, Soul & Jazz with a blend of a melodic flow and powerful lyrics.
